Hello Wednesday!

Wednesdays are all about pushing through and making it until the end of the week, when we can do something fun, go to church, visit with friends and get ready to do it all over again.

So, occasionally I make Wednesday a day off; from routine, from the same old thing we do every other day.   For the past few years I've even given the kids Wednesdays off from school and we use it to catch up on chores, errands and as a motivator to keep going on Thursday and Friday.

Not only do I use it to motivate the kids, but I use it to break my own routine.   Normally I set my alarm, jump out of bed, have my 2 cups of coffee, Bible Study, computer time, get dressed and start my day.

But, on Wednesdays I rebel a little.

I don't set my alarm.   It's the one day of the week that I throw "caution to the wind" and wake up on my own; without that blasted beeping going off in my ear!   Funny, how that turns out,  though!  My internal alarm woke me up at 6:00 am this morning anyway.  So much for being rebellious!

I usually hang around the computer a little longer on Wednesday mornings, let the almost-13-year-old sleep a little longer, and take a little more time getting dressed.

And, every now and then I eat my toast on a real plate instead of paper!  Oh, the craziness!
Hence - the pictures below........

 I've recently added some
FUN
plates to our every-day plates.

 These are from Cracker Barrel.
 David picked them out
because they looked like they
came from an old Diner.

This morning they held my toast,
instead of the normal
paper plate.

Then, I decided to get really fancy
with breakfast,
and use
my fun glasses for my
morning vitamin drink.

 This keeps me healthy!

Somehow, this just feels better than
paper plates and tupperware
(my normal morning breakfast dishes).

So, what are you doing to make Wednesday a better day?

Go ahead!

Do something crazy
like eating off the "fun" dishes!

Why not?

  1. I like your fun new dishes. A while back I bought some new plates that are smaller to try to fool us into thinking we are eating as much as we used to. I think it works to a point unless you go ahead and have seconds.
The red glasses are especially nice.

  2. Well, I know this isn't Wednesday, but we did happen to take yesterday off (our day off is normally on Monday). It just so happened that my husband had a training class in Colo. Spgs so we went with him and spent the afternoon with my aunt and cousin.
We were 'supposed' to get some work done in the morning, but that didn't happen. She did get her room cleaned. We'll chalk that up as economics and call it a day! Gotta love home schooling!
